Everton are now pushing to make their fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
On Tuesday, Everton confirmed the signing of Adam Aznou after the left-back joined from Bayern Munich.
David Moyes will now be keen for the youngster to join up with the squad over in the United States for the remainder of their pre-season tour.
The 62-year-old will also be keen to see the signings continue to flow through the doors, and the Blues are now looking to make signing number five.
Everton are keen to sign Malick Fofana and have been in talks to sign the winger from Lyon.
With talks ongoing, Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on where the discussions currently lie.

Everton awaiting Malick Fofana’s decision
Everton have entered talks to sign Fofana from Lyon, with John Textor’s side suffering real financial issues this summer.
However, a deal has slightly stalled, with Everton now left waiting on the Belgian winger to make his final decision.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the player is dreaming of playing Champions League football with his next club.
With the Toffees left waiting on Fofana, Angus Kinnear has checked in on two other players.
Everton have checked in with Takefusa Kubo and Assane Diao from Como as potential alternatives to Fofana.
This summer, Everton’s priority has been to sign attacking players, and Fofana is certainly a player who would excite the fans.
But the club are now looking to really push on in the market, and the Belgian has Everton waiting on other options to arrive who may offer him Champions League football.
David Moyes will want attackers in fast
After securing the signing of Thierno Barry, the 62-year-old manager will be keen to add creative options around him.
Everton lost Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom this summer after their loans were not extended or made permanent.
Moyes demanded more from his wingers last season after disappointing campaigns from the pair.
But Everton have now been left extremely short in that department heading into August.
Fofana is clearly the club’s first choice, but it seems a risk in putting all their eggs into his basket as he is on the lookout for Champions League football.
