Everton are closing in on their fourth signing of the summer with Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich.

On Tuesday morning, Aznou shared an update amid his Everton medical, having flown into Liverpool to complete his move.

With a defensive addition set to land on Merseyside, David Moyes will be hoping to see transfers begin to flow through the doors at Everton.

It is understood that Everton are keen to add a new midfielder this summer to bolster their options.

There have been a number of names linked with the Blues, as Everton have shown interest in Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough.

With Ipswich Town keen to make a move, Hackney’s preferred destination has now been shared.

Hayden Hackney’s preferred destination amid Everton and Ipswich Town interest

It is not just Everton who have an interest in the Boro midfielder, with Manchester United also keen to sign Hackney.

Despite two Premier League outfits with Hackney on their radar, it is Ipswich Town who are leading the way from the Championship.

According to Craig Johns, Ipswich have now submitted their opening bid for Hackney, but it is not quite what Boro are asking for.

It is claimed Hackney would prefer to make the jump up to the Premier League.

However, the midfielder is still open to a move to Ipswich if no top flight sides come calling over the coming weeks.

Everton News understands Boro are open to selling Hackney this summer and will demand a fee in excess of £20m.

The Toffees do have other options, though. Everton are currently working on a deal for Douglas Luiz, which may end any talk of Hackney joining.

Everton will prioritise Douglas Luiz’s experience

It would appear as if Everton are pushing forward with their interest in Luiz from Juventus.

Moyes has personally requested Everton to sign Luiz, according to some reports.

The 62-year-old views Luiz as a real coup for the Toffees, who have already seen Idrissa Gana Gueye commit his future on Merseyside.

If a move for Luiz falls through at Everton, it will be interesting to see whether the Blues still have time to potentially turn their attention back to Hackney.
