Everton may already be looking to add further attacking reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window opening.
Over the last three games, Everton have only been able to find the back of the net once.
That goal came in the Merseyside Derby through Idrissa Gana Gueye, with Everton’s strikers leaving a lot to be desired.
David Moyes has now seen the strong start to the season begin to fizzle out due to the lack of consistency in front of goal shown by his side.
Over the summer, Moyes admitted he was disappointed in Beto, who is failing to nail down the starting spot as striker in the XI.
Although Thierno Barry was signed over the summer, it is now being suggested that another striker is on the radar ahead of the January window.

Everton plotting January swoop for Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus
After the Merseyside Derby, Everton fans were pleased with Barry’s efforts, but the youngster is not posing himself as much of a goal threat.
With this in mind, Everton may already find themselves needing more firepower just weeks into the new campaign.
According to Football Transfers, Everton are one of the sides monitoring a potential move in January for Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus.
It is claimed that the striker is now exploring his options ahead of the winter market, and he could even be open to a return to Brazil.
The Brazilian has the opportunity to remain in England, with Everton and West Ham having both made enquiries to the Gunners.
Following the blank at Molineux on Tuesday evening, Everton must now seriously consider improving their options up top when they can.
Gary Lineker has praised Everton’s creative players recently, but it is becoming clear that the quality to convert the chances created is not there currently.
What Pep Guardiola said about Gabriel Jesus
Clearly, there will be concerns over Jesus’ injury record, which has seriously hindered his time in north London with Arsenal.
However, if the Brazilian can return from his latest issue with a full bill of health, he could potentially be a real upgrade on Everton’s current options.
Having managed him at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has previously sung the praises of Jesus at the Etihad Stadium.
“All of us at the club and locker room, when he has one of these situations we are happy for him because he is so generous and it doesn’t matter what position he is going to play, he always fights, he always helps for his mates. It was fantastic,” Guardiola said after Jesus netted four against Watford in 2022.
Jesus has proven himself to be a quality Premier League striker. The only issue is his injury record.
| Premier League | Total |
| Appearances | 229 |
| Goals | 76 |
| Assists | 45 |
Not only can Jesus find the back of the net, but he can also turn provider, which is something that neither Beto nor Barry are currently showing on Merseyside.
This would definitely be a gamble for The Friedkin Group, but it could be one which could make a lot of sense if Everton could keep him fit.
