A striker is high up on Everton’s list of priorities this summer transfer window.

Thierno Barry and Beto have improved as the season’s gone on, but their goal tallies are still well short of where Everton want them to be.

As such, it’s understood that David Moyes is ‘fixated’ on bringing in a new centre-forward to Finch Farm ahead of next season.

Are there any players from the relegated clubs you want to see Everton go after this summer? 🤔

Moyes has had a close look at Liam Delap on multiple occasions, so he could become an option if Chelsea allow him to depart.

The Toffees have also added a number nine on the continent to their shortlist of targets, however, Juventus have now jumped the queue and opened talks to sign him.

Everton target Alexander Sorloth in talks to join Juventus

It has been reported that Everton are plotting a move to sign Alexander Sorloth after his impressive season for Atletico Madrid.

Sorloth, formerly of Crystal Palace, netted 20 times for the Spanish giants last season, with six of those goals coming in the Champions League.

It seems the Toffees are indecisive on whether to launch a bid for the £25m-rated striker, as Juventus have now jumped ahead of them in the race.

Remember him at Crystal Palace… would you like to see Sorloth at the Hill Dickinson Stadium? 👀

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Juve have just opened talks with Sorloth’s agents to determine the finances it’d require to agree a deal.

Whilst the transfer window doesn’t open until the 15th of June, clearly, Everton are already losing ground on certain deals.

All of the club’s focus seems to be on signing Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney at the moment, with Moyes keen to make the 23-year-old his first signing of the summer.
