Everton are set to open a new chapter in the club’s history this summer.

Back in January, The Friedkin Group were handed the keys to Goodison Park and there have already been some significant changes made.

Taking on Everton certainly was not a blank canvas for Dan Friedkin with the American having plenty of underlying issues to resolve from the previous owner.

Everton are making big changes to their recruitment set-up behind the scenes ahead of the summer transfer window.

Angus Kinnear is set to hire Nick Hammond and Gary Penrice from Leeds United in a triple raid of the newly-promoted side.

However, that is just the tip of the iceberg for the Blues, with Everton set for a huge financial boost with their move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton fans are excited about Bramley-Moore Dock with the move edging closer and closer.

And it will be interesting to see how they feel about what Friedkin is about to do away from Merseyside after jetting out to ink a whopping deal.

Everton’s Dan Friedkin flies in to sign huge Roma deal

Bramley-Moore Dock is expected to increase Everton’s revenue by £60m annually, with opportunities to increase that even further.

The state-of-the-art stadium is set to be a real game changer for the club’s finances after years of struggles under Farhad Moshiri.

Wayne Rooney thinks Everton’s stadium move is well overdue and this will provide the club with the possibility to close the gap on the top Premier League earners.

Clearly, a similar thought is shared with The Friedkin Group’s other club, AS Roma.

According to La Roma 24, the Everton and Roma owner has now jetted out to Switzerland where he will hold final talks over plans for the new Roma stadium.

The presentation with the plans is expected over the coming days and is one of the American’s priorities with their other club.

It is believed Friedkin was interested in Everton because of the new stadium and the doors the new ground opened up for the club.

This is something which he is now looking to replicate with Roma and it will come at a price.

Inside World Football have reported the build is going to cost the Friedkins in the region of €1bn (£850m) with the construction set to start later this year.

Everton are looking for a stadium naming rights deal now as they prepare to move the club just over a mile across to the docks.

Roma’s new stadium will not affect Everton’s summer plans

This summer is going to be the first opportunity for the Friedkins to finally invest in Everton’s playing squad.

It is believed Everton have a significant transfer budget to spend in the summer and that will be music to the ears of all at Goodison Park.

There is going to be considerable investment from the Friedkins being put into the new stadium in Rome.

However, these are plans which have been put in place for years and should not have an effect on what is going on at Everton.

David Moyes wants four key areas addressed at Everton in the summer and the Friedkins are certainly going to have to put their hands in their pockets.
