Sean Dyche’s sacking from Everton has somewhat been overshadowed by the appointment of David Moyes.
It’s been almost two weeks since Dyche’s departure from Goodison Park as Moyes has already settled back into life with Everton.
Despite Moyes being embarrassed with Everton’s decline, the Toffees boss already grabbed his first win against Tottenham on Sunday, something Dyche struggled with in his last five games with the Merseyside club.
There seems to be a much better atmosphere now the Scotsman is back in charge, but you do have to feel for Dyche who got treated poorly by Everton players.
However, the first Everton player has come out and properly talked about how the squad felt about Dyche’s exit.

Asmir Begovic was surprised by Sean Dyche’s Everton exit
Dyche took Everton as far as he could as The Friedkin Group seemingly agreed with the former Everton boss.
With Everton fans fairly content with the decision, Moyes’ return has gone down well with fans, but what was Dyche’s departure like from the player’s point of view.
Back-up Everton goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, revealed all on Seaman Says (14:54), as he spoke to David Seaman about the former Toffees boss.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for Sean (Dyche),” Begovic said.
“Over the two years, you think about the circumstances. A point deduction, which is so unheard of in the Premier League.
“It’s a results-based business. We had a bad couple of results against two teams that were flying in Forest and Bournemouth.
“Before then I thought we were solid but things change quickly and the club had a certain feeling.
“That’s the ruthless side of the business, decisions have to be made, and it was difficult to see him go, we were all sad and we take a lot of responsibility for that.”
Begovic on Moyes’ return to Everton as ‘stature’ claim made
With Moyes now getting his view across in his second spell with Everton, Seamus Coleman believes Moyes will move Everton forward.
Begovic, as an experienced figure in the dressing room will know all about what it means to a fanbase when they see a fan favourite return.
Continuing after speaking about Dyche, the 37-year-old talked about Moyes’ arrival and how it’s given Everton a ‘boost’ (15:35).
“Having the new manager come in with his experience, his stature at the club for the fans is a good boost.
“His familiarity with the club, the fans won’t overwhelm him, he won’t be surprised by it, he knows the Premier League inside, out so I think it’s a really smart appointment.”
Time will tell if Begovic is right about Moyes, but all Everton fans are hoping is that they retain their Premier League status.
