An Everton player has sparked controversy in the aftermath of their 4-2 loss to Brentford.
The scoreline was not a true reflection of the game, as the Toffees were thrashed at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Many Everton players put in embarrassing performances and will come under criticism over the next few days.
Some fans have also questioned David Moyes’ team selection and substitutions after the heavy defeat.
Meanwhile, one unused substitute has since posted and deleted a comment on social media about his lack of involvement.

This was a dismal performance from Everton…

Adam Aznou does not understand lack of playing time
Left-back Adam Aznou joined Everton from Bayern Munich for an undisclosed fee last summer.
The 18-year-old was a highly rated academy prospect at both Barcelona and Bayern, so there was plenty of optimism about his arrival.
However, Aznou has not played a single minute of first-team football since his move to Merseyside.
Now, after his 17th consecutive Premier League match as an unused substitute, Everton fans are wondering why he has not been given a chance.
One fan account posted about Aznou after the Toffees’ 4-2 defeat to Brentford, and he actually responded.
The youngster commented with a shrug emoji, suggesting that he does not understand why Moyes refuses to play him.
Aznou has since deleted his reply, but he has already made his feelings clear about his situation.
If you were forced to pick a MOTM vs Brentford, who would you go for?
Adam Aznou deserves chance to play against Wolves
Aznou will know that he should not question Moyes’ team selection on social media or anywhere in public.
However, the youngster does have a genuine reason to feel aggrieved by Moyes’ refusal to play him.
Vitaliy Mykolenko has been out of form for several weeks, and the Toffees do not have another recognised left-back.
Mykolenko was particularly disappointing against Brentford on Sunday, so it might be time for Aznou to replace him.
And what better fixture to give a youngster a chance than against the worst team in the league (Wolves) on Wednesday?
