Everton are determined to improve their attacking options this summer in the transfer market.

David Moyes is prioritising attacking signings, having already added Thierno Barry to his squad ahead of the Summer Series trip.

There will be excitement amongst the Everton fanbase over what the young French striker can provide the Toffees this season.

Following his delayed summer break due to the U21 Euros, Barry has only just joined up with his Everton teammates this week.

Beto has impressed Moyes in Everton’s pre-season friendlies so far this summer, but fans will expect to get their first sight of Barry over in the United States.

Despite this, Moyes is still demanding more signings at Everton, with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja departing in the summer.

With more signings being pushed by the 62-year-old, it is now being claimed another striker could be on the radar on Merseyside.

Everton have Mika Biereth on their radar

Moyes is open to signing two strikers this summer, with Barry already on board ahead of the Summer Series.

The pecking order still needs to work itself out at Finch Farm during pre-season, but there is still room for more players to arrive.

According to Caught Offside, Everton are still one of the clubs showing an interest in the Monaco striker Mika Biereth.

Everton have held an interest in Biereth for a while now, but the addition of Barry could have suggested he was no longer an option.

The report claims sources have indicated that Everton is still in the chase, alongside Newcastle United, Wolves, and Aston Villa, for the striker, who’s valued at £40m.

Adding a player like Biereth would certainly create an interesting decision for Moyes, but a headache which he would surely welcome.

Biereth outscored Thierno Barry last season

Barry resumed his holiday after signing for Everton, but he enjoyed his first day at Finch Farm on Monday.

There will be a lot of excitement surrounding the £27m signing, but the youngster remains unproven at Premier League level.

Moyes will be keen to have solid options to choose from ahead of the new season, and Biereth could certainly add to that.

Having scored more goals than Barry last season, Biereth is a player who is heading into the 2025/26 campaign with a point to prove.

Monaco only signed him in January, but he managed to score 13 goals in just 16 Ligue 1 appearances.

With the Blues now heading to the States, it will be interesting to see whether any new faces join up with the squad over there.
