Everton are one of the clubs who are in the race to sign Manchester City’s James McAtee.
The summer transfer market is proving an incredibly competitive one for Everton, who have only signed two new faces.
Carlos Alcaraz also signed on a permanent deal, but David Moyes will surely have been hoping for more just one week out from August.
Angus Kinnear took on a huge task at Everton following all the changes that have been sanctioned around the club.
Landing two new faces will not exactly thrill the 62-year-old manager, with Moyes demanding more signings at Everton.
As the Toffees look to improve their output in attack, Everton have eyed McAtee as a target from City.

Everton trailing in race to sign James McAtee
Nottingham Forest are pushing to sign McAtee, but there is also strong interest coming from the Bundesliga this summer.
The Man City attacking midfielder is certainly a player in high demand, but the Blues remain in the race.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, journalist Ben Jacobs has shared the latest on the pursuit to sign the 22-year-old this summer.
“One likely destination might be to stay at Manchester City because Man City don’t really want to sell,” said Jacobs.
“Suggestions then that an exit would be facilitated at £25m are wide of the mark, to my understanding. Man City will look at the Cole Palmer fee that Chelsea paid, and they’ll want something like-for-like.”
“There’s interest from Nottingham Forest, they’re also looking at Bilal El Khannous from Leicester City, Everton are there but not seen as front runners. I think West Ham could enter the race, but there’s a real push from Germany.
“Frankfurt are one club, but I would keep an eye on RB Leipzig, and even Bayer Leverkusen made a recent enquiry. Right now, I would say Nottingham Forest are pushing the hardest, but don’t discount a move to Germany.”
Everton have also shown interest in Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad as a potential alternative to McAtee.
With competition for McAtee’s signature so high, the Toffees could potentially pull off a masterstroke if they were able to land the Japan international.

McAtee will want his future resolved soon
Man City want Jack Grealish’s future resolved in the coming days ahead of their return to training next week.
With McAtee looking set for the exit door, it would be easy to imagine the Citizens would feel similarly about the youngster.
McAtee left his Eintracht Frankfurt visit without a deal in place, and he is now waiting for offers to land his way.
Clearly, there is plenty of interest from Premier League clubs, and a move to Everton would allow him to remain in his current home.
However, there will be plenty of consideration put into the 22-year-old’s next move, as he looks to kick on in his career.
