Everton have a huge opportunity to really push on this summer with a big transfer window.
David Moyes led the Toffees to victory last weekend against a high-flying Nottingham Forest side who have taken the league by storm.
The Reds have given teams like Everton real optimism that big changes are capable over such a short space of time.
Everton have seen huge improvements under Moyes after parting ways with Sean Dyche in January.
But the leap Forest have taken from last season has been staggering.
The Toffees will need a big summer window to make this leap, but the hierarchy are already putting plans in place to add to the squad.

Everton pushing to sign Koni de Winter
With just over a month until clubs can do business, Everton are keen to add to their defence this summer.
The Toffees will be fighting to keep ahold of their prized asset in Jarrad Branthwaite, but additions are going to have to be made.
According to TuttoJuve, Everton are one of the clubs who are showing an interest in signing Genoa defender Koni de Winter.
It has been suggested that West Ham United are also on the scene, but the two Premier League sides will face stern competition.
Juventus hold the advantage for the €25m (£21m) defender as they have a buyback clause in his deal for just €12m (£10m).
Wolves have also shown interest in De Winter as it has become evident the Toffees will need to pull out all of the stops to land the Belgian.
Koni de Winter could provide more aerial threat for Everton
The 22-year-old has been able to return three goals this season in Serie A for Genoa.
Breaking through in the Italian top-flight, De Winter is catching the eye of teams like Inter Milan and Napoli ahead of the summer.
| 2024/25 | Jake O’Brien | Jarrad Branthwaite | Koni de Winter |
| Aerial duels won % | 57.7% | 57% | 69.1% |
| Headers won (per 90) | 2.35 | 2.13 | 3.44 |
| Percentile | 98 | 62 | 94 |
But he could add to the aerial threat which Everton pose through the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite and Jake O’Brien.
Michael Keane is set to leave Everton this summer. So, depth is needed, but whether De Winter would be willing to battle for a starting spot is another question.
