Everton have shown some huge improvements over the last three months following their managerial change.

Replacing Sean Dyche with David Moyes has proven to be an absolute masterstroke from the Friedkins.

Since taking the reins back in January, Everton have only lost twice in the Premier League as they now sit up in 13th spot.

Everton are now planning for the summer transfer window, but there are still some opportunities to keep their good run going.

One player who has been at the forefront of Everton’s positive spell is goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

A real mainstay in the starting XI, Pickford has been praised for another impressive season between the sticks and he has now hailed the work of his manager.

What David Moyes does that Jordan Pickford loves at Everton

Not everyone has sang the England number one’s praises, with Neville Southall labeling Pickford as ‘average’.

But the 31-year-old goalkeeper has taken his opportunity to praise the work of his manager who has transformed the fortunes on Merseyside.

Speaking to the Everton website, Pickford has shared what Moyes does behind the scenes which the players really appreciate.

“I think his attention to detail is excellent. He likes to get every detail right, tactically, and get us prepared as best as he can for each game,” he said.

“I also think his man management skills are really good. He always has a chat with you and when he speaks before a game, he really gets you fired up for it.”

Moyes has given Pickford plenty of instructions since he was appointed in January.

And whatever has been said has certainly paid off with Everton continuing their fine defensive record, which was actually also shown under Dyche.

Everton’s attack has proven to be a major issue throughout the season for a number of different reasons.

Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil have just returned from injury, which will provide big boosts for the Toffees going into the final games of the season.

Injuries and a lack of consistency has been the biggest issues for the Blues going forward, but Pickford believes positive work has been done.

“We’re getting in better areas of the pitch more often to create more chances – and we’re scoring more goals,” he said.

“I think we’ve always been a good side at keeping the ball out of the net, but the manager has helped a lot on the attacking side of it and it’s something we’ve been working on a lot on the training pitch.”

Everton have not scored more than one goal in a game in any of their last six games, this is something that will have to change for next season.
