There’s just over a week left in the January transfer window, and speculation is starting to swirl around the future of Everton’s Tim Iroegbunam.
It was reported on Saturday that Italian giants Lazio are interested in Iroegbunam.
This followed a claim that several Championship sides were also keen on Iroegbunam, but that Everton were not looking to offload the midfielder.
There’s no way Everton can sell Tim Iroegbunam after the season he’s having! 😡
Lazio are believed to be keen to sign the midfielder 💷
So far this season Iroegbunam has made 19 appearances for Everton, but struggled for regular starts.
He saw a bit more involved though when Idrissa Gana Gueye left for AFCON, with the ace starting five Premier League games in a row before he picked up an injury after the game with Wolves.
Now, amid Gueye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall coming back into the picture, there is seemingly some uncertainty over Iroegbunam’s immediate future.
Iroegbunam asking price now shared

Although it was suggested that Everton weren’t looking to offload Iroegbunam, a report from Italy have suggested an exit is not off the cards.
Calciomercato report on the interest from Lazio, and add that the Italian club would be willing to offer between €8-10 million, which is around £7-£8.6 million.
They don’t say that Everton just wouldn’t entertain selling, and claim that the Toffees would be willing to do business at around €15 million (£13 million).
They say that at the moment there is distance between the parties.
Iroegbunam is said to be one of the top options for Lazio.
Iroegbunam may struggle for minutes
So it seems Lazio would quite like to land Iroegbunam, and the report from Calciomercato suggests Everton would be open to a sale at the right price.
£13 million would see Everton make a small profit on Iroegbunam, who joined the club for around £9 million in the summer of 2024.

He is out of contract in 2027 so perhaps the club do need to think about a sale before his value plummets.
Iroegbunam has done well recently, but potentially his minutes could dry up if he stayed put, with James Garner, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Merlin Rohl and Harrison Armstrong all in there for competition.
Potentially, this could be one to watch.
