Everton should genuinely consider cashing in on £54m star amid Man United interest

Everton have really tailed off towards the business end of the season.

Everton suffered a 3-1 defeat to Sunderland on Sunday afternoon, which means David Moyes’ side are now winless in six.

European football is now out of reach, so there’s a lot to reassess heading into the fast-approaching summer transfer window.

What would you say to Angus Kinnear after THAT loss to Sunderland? 😤

Something has to change… 😭

Moyes must make changes and start to move this team forward, rather than sticking with the old guard most weeks.

With that said, Everton should genuinely consider cashing in on one of their star players who’s been very poor recently.

Everton should consider selling Iliman Ndiaye this summer

Everton fans slammed Iliman Ndiaye after the Sunderland game as he produced yet another poor performance.

Ndiaye has completely gone off the boil over the last couple of months, having failed to score or register an assist in six games.

In fact, the Senegal international has only registered three goal involvements since the start of December.

Which Everton player should not be started next week against Spurs? 😬

It seems Ndiaye has struggled to get back to his best form since the Africa Cup of Nations in January, so perhaps tiredness is a factor.

Either way, there should be a conversation internally about whether it may be best to cash in on him whilst his stock is pretty high.

The CIES Football Observatory valued Ndiaye at around £54m earlier this season, so if they could get that fee, it’d be sanctioning his sale.

Manchester United and Chelsea have been showing an interest in Ndiaye, and there have been suggestions that Arsenal are circling, too.

It sounds harsh, but the 26-year-old is very replaceable, and Everton will have to trade to balance the books anyway.

Jarrod Bowen, who looks likely to leave West Ham United, would be a big upgrade for perhaps half the fee Ndiaye could be sold for.

Everton are considering a move to sign Bowen, with Moyes keen on his former Hammers winger.
