Everton are actively assessing a number of striking targets this winter transfer window.
It has been reported that David Moyes is ‘fixated’ on signing a new centre-forward this month to help support Thierno Barry and Beto.
With that said, Fenerbahce frontman Youssef En-Nesyri has emerged as a top target over the last 48 hours.
How big of a risk is this for Everton? 😫
Scoring goals in Turkey is completely different to the Premier League…
Everton have actually launched a loan bid to sign En-Nesyri with an option to buy in the summer worth around £17m.
However, there has now been a sudden twist which may force the Toffees to focus on a different transfer target.

Everton should go all out to sign Ivan Toney after Youssef En-Nesyri news
It looked as though Everton were going to advance in a deal to sign En-Nesyri after concrete talks and a bid.
However, Alan Myers understands that En-Nesyri isn’t convinced about a move to England, with the climate a factor.
Surely any hungry striker would leap at the chance to play in the Premier League? 🫣
Not the best look for Everton's potential new striker…
So, the Toffees will probably have to move on and focus on other options, with former Brentford number nine Ivan Toney someone who should be right at the top of the shortlist.
Moyes has added Toney to his shortlist, and there has been a suggestion that he would consider a return to the Premier League this winter.
With the World Cup on the horizon, the 29-year-old will be desperate to get back into Thomas Tuchel’s squad and may only be able to do that by scoring goals at the highest level in the Premier League.
Ivan Toney stats 2025/26
Toney would be the perfect signing for Everton this month as he’s a proven Premier League goalscorer, a great link-up striker and a very confident player in good form.
The seven-cap England international has been prolific in the Saudi Pro League this season, netting nine goals in 12 outings.
Who would be your dream Everton signing this month? 👀
Across all competitions, Toney has scored an impressive 17 in 23, so clearly he still knows where the back of the net is.
He’s scored 216 goals in his career, which is more than triple the tally Thierno Barry has. That kind of nous and experience can’t be underestimated.
