Everton are now showing a real interest in landing another midfielder this summer before the deadline at the end of the month.
Sean Dyche has already seen four new faces arriving into his squad at Everton over the last two months despite the ongoing uncertainties with the club’s ownership.
Everton have now entered exclusive talks with John Textor to take over at the club following their struggles with 777 Partners and The Friedkin Group.
But there is scope for more to follow over the final weeks of the transfer window as Everton aim to replace Amadou Onana after he was sold to Aston Villa.
One man who will not be joining Everton is Kalvin Phillips after Ipswich Town have secured the signing of the Toffees’ target.
But there is another midfielder who the Blues are looking to sign after seeing him become available over the final weeks.

Everton interested in midfielder from Roma
Everton have been able to sign Tim Iroegbunam from Villa over the summer and the 21-year-old has made an impressive start to life at Goodison.
However, the midfielder may not be enough alone to cover for the departure of Onana.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Everton have now shown an interest in a player who Roma are now looking to offload.
And no, it is not Tammy Abraham. Everton are now showing their interest in the Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove.
The 22-year-old is described as a player who is now on his way out of the Italian capital this summer alongside Paulo Dybala.
Bove still has four years remaining on his deal with Roma but it looks as if the midfielder is set to depart over the final weeks of the window.
Who is Edoardo Bove?
The 22-year-old midfielder has came through the ranks at Roma to 92 appearances now under his belt for the senior side.
Across those games, Bove has been able to return four goals and two assists having also picked up nine yellow cards.
But only 18 of his 13 appearances in Serie A last season came from the starting XI with Bove’s spot in the team not exactly that of a regular starter.
Jose Mourinho has previously labeled Bove as a “sick dog” having nurtured the youngster for the way he plays on the pitch.
“He bites, runs around and gives everything when he plays,” Mourinho previously told the media.
