Jarrad Branthwaite has been one of the standout performers for Everton so far this season, which has brought about plenty of transfer interest.

Everton find themselves in a commanding position as far as Jarrad Branthwaite‘s future is concerned.

The new stadium and new ownership has certainly given new life and plenty of promise around Merseyside, it’s just about avoiding relegation.

Liverpool and a whole host of other clubs have been registering an interest in signing Jarrad Branthwaite in January, but nothing has gone past that stage yet.

Interestingly, Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for the defender, though his recent words suggest he won’t be heading to Spain in the future.

Jarrad Branthwaite appears to dampen a move to Real Madrid

Jarrad Branthwaite has suggested he wants to stay at Everton and a new contract could be the likely outcome, but nothing is certain at the moment.

His importance cannot be understated, as Everton’s record is atrocious in games he’s missed.

Jarrad Branthwaite has spoken out about his future aspirations and it doesn’t bode well if you’re a Real Madrid supporter.

“I think for me it would just be to have won trophies and you know I think to be an established international and Premier League player would probably be you know the thing I would look back on.

“To play as many games as I can in the Premier League and internationally that would be the most important thing.”

Real Madrid potentially out of the question and a boost for Everton

The fact that Branthwaite wants to spend his career in the Premier League should come as a big boost for Everton, but it’s not so good news for Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti handed Branthwaite his debut and is looking to bring him to Spain, but that doesn’t seem likely if the Englishman sticks to his word.

It’s now over to the Friedkin Group to get a new contract designed and signed with January upon us.
