Everton’s focus will now be on their pre-season tour of the United States after touching down in New York.
David Moyes will still be pushing his recruitment staff to bring in some new faces, though.
The 62-year-old has jetted off to the States without Jarrad Branthwaite who is suffering from a minor injury.
Everton’s fitness frailties from last season are already rearing their ugly head, but this should only emphasise the necessity for the Blues to bolster their squad.
There are a number of potential targets being reported as Moyes eyes signing number four of the summer window.
With new additions required at Finch Farm, there is now one player who has publicly rejected a potential move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Lyanco publicly rejects Everton summer transfer
It had been suggested that Everton had opened talks to sign Lyanco – who’s been hailed as ‘fantastic’ – from the Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro.
The centre-back could potentially view Branthwaite’s current injury issue as an opportunity to ignite his return to the Premier League.
Instead, the 28-year-old has taken to social media to hint towards his future remaining in Brazil.
With issues developing in the background at Atletico Mineiro, Lyanco has doubled down on his commitment to the club.
On Instagram, the defender said: “Family? Never… Once Galo [the club’s nickname], always Galo,” as reported by O’Tempo, with the post now being deleted.
A move away from the Brazilian side this summer is seemingly off the cards despite Everton’s best efforts.
The Blues are looking to add a new full-back currently, with Everton considering a move for Bayern Munich’s Adam Aznou.
What will be interesting to see is whether Branthwaite’s issue pushes the Toffees in the direction of signing a new centre-back, as well.

Everton would benefit from new signings joining USA tour
With Branthwaite already falling through injury, there may well be a concern that Everton’s players could be pushed too hard this summer through a lack of depth.
James Tarkowski is currently in the process of his return from a serious injury, which has left Moyes with Jake O’Brien and Michael Keane as his two starting centre-backs.
Ideally, Moyes will see some new faces join up with the squad over in the States.
The Friedkins are backing Moyes with the finances, but the club are clearly struggling to convert that into agreements for players.
