Everton need to ramp up their summer transfer approach as the club is now just hours away from their pre-season tour.

David Moyes has seen his side play twice already this summer, and the Toffees have scored just one goal across the two games.

It would be fair to say that the 62-year-old will not be best pleased with how the summer has panned out so far.

At any given opportunity, Moyes is making his transfer demands known with public statements.

The Friedkins have offered Everton £100m to spend this summer, but it is not exactly burning a hole in the pocket of the recruitment team.

Everton need additions across the entire squad; there is now one player who the club are turning their attention to.

Adam Aznou has emerged as an Everton target, and he has already issued a statement on his plans for the future.

What Adam Aznou has said about his Bayern Munich future amid Everton interest

Moyes has wanted new full-backs at Everton for months now, and it finally looks as if it is being made a priority by the club.

Aznou would provide Vitaliy Mykolenko with some serious competition at left-back for the starting spot.

The 19-year-old has already spoken about his future with Bayern Munich, which will hand Everton some encouragement over a potential deal to be made.

“My future is uncertain,” Aznou admitted in an interview with Spanish Twitch streamer Gerard Romero.

“I want to play. If I don’t get minutes at Bayern, we’ll have to look for a solution.”

Mykolenko has shared his desire to remain Everton’s left-back, but the Toffees need serious competition for places.

The Ukraine international enjoyed a solid 2024/25 campaign, but he certainly had an easy ride in terms of no other senior left-back being at the club.

Vincent Kompany may not be able to offer Aznou regular minutes

The 19-year-old only made his Bayern senior debut back in December, but he was then sent out on loan to Real Valladolid.

Having gained some experience last season, it is apparent Aznou now has the taste for playing senior football.

Everton hope the Hill Dickinson Stadium will attract players, but the prospect of regular football could be enough to land Aznou.

Clearly, this is a player who Bayern have big hopes for, but he has a desire for more than what Vincent Kompany may be able to offer him this season.

Alphonso Davies is set to return from his lengthy injury, and he will naturally return as the starting left-back for the Bundesliga champions.
