Everton return to Premier League action on Wednesday as they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Merseyside.

David Moyes’ side play host to the relegation favourites at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, looking to secure their first win of 2026.

Chris Sutton expects Everton to beat Wolves, who are currently sitting rock bottom, 12 points adrift from safety.

Let’s hear those Everton vs Wolves score predictions! 👀

Everton's record vs Wolves

Jake O’Brien explained that Everton have been feeling really fatigued lately, which explains the 4-2 defeat to Brentford.

So, with that said, Moyes is expected to make some changes to his Everton starting line-up tomorrow evening.

David Moyes could make two Everton changes vs Wolves

Speaking to the media in his pre-match Wolves press conference, Moyes appeared to suggest that Armstrong will start.

“I think he’s probably ready to start,” the Everton boss explained.

“He’s more ready to start because of the amount he’s played at Preston really so he’s physically in a condition to play games. I’ve got no doubt about that.”

So, Armstrong is expected to replace Tim Iroegbunam and partner James Garner in the middle of the park.

The other change may come at the back, with Nathan Patterson returning and Michael Keane dropping out.

Patterson had a good game against Nottingham Forest and looks far more comfortable at right-back than Jake O’Brien.

So, O’Brien could move into his more favoured role at centre-back, next to James Tarkowski.

What changes would you make for Wolves? 🤔

Thierno Barry and Beto are unlikely to start together

Thierno Barry and Beto played as a front two in the second half of the Brentford game at the weekend, and both got on the scoresheet.

That led many Everton fans to clamour for them both to start in a 4-4-2-esque formation moving forward.

But, when asked if that’s a possibility, Moyes poured cold water on the idea: “Maybe! I wouldn’t say it’s the first thing on my agenda.

“I felt I needed to try something that needed drastic treatment I felt at half-time. It didn’t work that way, but both of them got a goal, which I hope improves confidence.”

Whilst it doesn’t sound like that’ll be a system used from the first whistle, it’s nice to have it as an option if the Toffees are pushing for a goal.
