Justin Clarke scores four times for Everton U18s
Since landing on Merseyside, Moyes has been impressed by Jake O’Brien and a number of other relative youngsters in his squad.
However, there are players even younger who are really showing their potential in the youth sides.
And on Tuesday night, the man to do that was Justin Clarke who scored all four goals for the U18s against Leeds United.
The Blues secured three points against the Yorkshire outfit in a 4-2 win in the U18s Premier League.
It was a night dominated by Clarke who netted his sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth goal of the campaign against Leeds.
Martin Sherif has impressed in Everton’s U21s squad this season and has failed to break into the senior side.
So there may not be much hope for Clarke just yet, but he is certainly proving to be a name to look out for in the future.
Who is Justin Clarke?
Playing the majority of the season from both flanks, it has been a seriously impressive 2024/25 for the young Englishman.
Clarke only made the move to Merseyside over the summer as he left behind Wimbledon to join the Blues.
| 2024/25 | Total |
|---|---|
| Appearances | 18 |
| Minutes | 1267 |
| Goals | 6 |
| Assists | 1 |
And it is a move which is paying off as he is competing at a high level in the U18s Premier League with Keith Southern in charge.
Clarke will be keen to catch the eye of Moyes ahead of this summer’s pre-season trip to the United States, but that is not going to be a straightforward task.
