Everton are heading for the United States with two new faces in their squad for the Summer Series.

David Moyes welcomed back Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent deal, but the only new arrivals are Thierno Barry and Mark Travers.

Considerable work is still needed at Everton to get the squad into a position where they are ready to compete in the Premier League.

Moyes is making no secret of his demand for new signings, and the 62-year-old will be keen to see attacking players signed to aid Barry’s arrival.

Following the departure of both Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom, Everton are in need of some creative players on the right.

Everton are keen to sign Takefusa Kubo this summer, and the Blues have grown in confidence following initial talks with his agents.

Everton prepare opening offer for Takefusa Kubo

Carlo Ancelotti has praised Kubo as a player with immense talent following his time as the Real Madrid manager.

Kubo joined Sociedad from Real Madrid back in 2022, but it looks as if his time in the Basque Country could be coming to an end.

According to Team Talk, Everton are now ‘pushing hard’ in their pursuit of the Japan international.

The Toffees are lining up their opening offer after holding initial talks with the agents of Kubo earlier this month.

Everton believe they are in an ‘advantageous’ position as Kubo is keen on a Premier League move despite interest from across Europe.

It has previously been suggested that Kubo has the same level of talent as Jude Bellingham, having come up against the England international in Spain.

The Friedkins have some lofty plans for the Blues and this could be a signing which would certainly excite the fans.

Takefusa Kubo would be a monumental upgrade on Jack Harrison

Clearly, Moyes wanted more from Jack Harrison last season, with the 62-year-old making his frustrations public.

Kubo is a player who has received a lot of praise over recent years following his move to Real Sociedad, and his stats from last season show Everton fans just how big of an upgrade he could be.

Everton fans are dreaming about signing Kubo as they feel he is a player who would be an indication of The Friedkin Group’s ambitions for the club.

Even if Everton were to get their hands on Kubo, there may well still be some questions as to whether there would be enough quality in depth at right wing.
