The 2025/26 Premier League season has now finished, so attention immediately turns to the fast-approaching summer transfer window.

David Moyes has urged the Friedkin Group to back him in the market, explaining that they must show ambition.

“I believe that’s what we need to do (show ambition)… And I also want the ownership to show that as well,” Moyes said last week.

“I want them to come out and show, ‘We’re here, we’re going again, we’re supporting you’,”

That was a disgraceful performance from Everton… something has to change! 😤

Everton have been drawing up a shortlist of targets in recent months, with the likes of Troy Parrott and John Stones heavily linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

A Premier League winger is also being targeted, and now that deal looks a lot more likely after a recent development.

Everton boosted in pursuit of signing Crysencio Summerville

It was reported back in March that Everton had added Crysencio Summerville to their transfer wishlist.

It then came out that West Ham could sanction Summerville’s sale for just £26m, although that seemed to depend on whether they were relegated.

That said, the Hammers’ relegation to the Championship was confirmed yesterday, so Everton’s chances of signing the Dutch winger have certainly been boosted.

The 24-year-old has been a standout performer in a poor West Ham side this season, registering 12 goal involvements across all competitions.

Summerville would be a popular signing among Everton fans, as his pace and dynamism is something the current team lacks in forward areas.

Plus, given his age, there is plenty of growth in him to become even better and establish himself as one of the best wide players in the division.

The potential signing makes total sense; however, the main issue will be whether the Toffees can fend off interest to land his signature.

There will be stiff competition for Summerville this summer, with Newcastle United, Marseille and the Friedkin Group’s other owned club, AS Roma, circling.
