Everton have a number of former players in the Championship this season.

Demarai Gray is at Birmingham City, and fans have been impressed with his performances this season, whilst Lewis Dobbin and Thierry Small are both at Preston North End.

Preston fans reckon Dobbin is a ‘special’ player after his sensational start to his career at Deepdale, netting three goals in five outings.

Another former Everton attacker has been plying his trade in the second tier this term, and he’s left supporters blown away after last night.

Wrexham fans blown away by former Everton attacker Nathan Broadhead

Wrexham shelled out a club record £10m to sign former Everton attacker Nathan Broadhead in the summer.

Broadhead came on for the final half an hour against Leicester City last night and made a real impact, netting a super goal to take a point back to North Wales.

Wrexham fans were really impressed by his cameo, as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react.

“Wow. Broadhead so impressive since he’s come on,” @RacecourseInWXM posted.

@jayrad198900 added: “Broadhead that’s a f—— beautiful finish.”

“Well worthy of a point. Great result. Broadhead worth every penny,” @joeroberts1995 said.

@AndrewLopucki commented: “Broadhead looking better and better.”

Carlo Ancelotti actually gave Nathan Broadhead his Premier League debut

Broadhead was on Everton’s books for 15 years, coming through the academy before making his Premier League debut under Carlo Ancelotti in April 2021.

Ancelotti brought him off the bench in a goalless draw against Brighton and Hove Albion, and that was the last time he was seen in an Everton shirt.

After multiple loan spells away, the Toffees sanctioned his permanent sale to Ipswich Town during the summer of 2023.

Broadhead has really kicked on since then and now will be looking to return to the Premier League with his boyhood club Wrexham.
