Everton have seen some significant names arrive at the club over recent months.

The Friedkin Group are making some considerable changes on Merseyside with the recruitment and ownership experiencing changes.

David Moyes will be hoping to see new faces come through the door at Finch Farm as he looks to see improvements made to his squad.

It has been an encouraging run for Everton since the 62-year-old made his return with Premier League survival already secured.

The Friedkins are financially ready to back Everton’s summer and have taken on further investors since December.

One of them being Jason Kidd who has recently met up with Tim Howard to discuss the club he has now invested in.

What Tim Howard said to Everton co-owner Jason Kidd

The positive news just keeps on coming for Everton fans.

The Friedkins are in talks over buying a data company to help boost the work being done by Moyes and the recruitment staff.

With new faces and plenty of change happening on Merseyside, Kidd met up with Howard to discuss the opportunity to invest in Everton.

“And Jason, just for the public, I owe you nothing! You bought dinner two weeks ago here in New York,” said Howard on the Unfiltered Soccer podcast.

“The shirt looks great on you. Over dinner we spoke about your investment in Everton and just for the audience, what drew you to Everton? What excites you the most?”

“A lot of people don’t know that soccer was my first sport,” replied Kidd.

“So just understanding when I had this opportunity with The Friedkin Group to invest, I wanted to jump at it because of the relationship that I had with that group. And it all came from playing golf [with Ryan Friedkin].

“When you talk about having the opportunity to invest in a club that’s got a rich history, exciting when you talk about Goodison Park and the excitement with the passion of the Merseyside Derby and that’s kind of how I am.”

Kidd will be attending the Goodison Park Finale next month when Southampton arrive for the final-ever game at Everton’s historic home.

And it is clear that he has been handed the opportunity to invest in Everton due to the good relationships he has formed with those around the club.

Tim Howard may have played a big role in Kidd’s Everton investment

Although Kidd mentioned his time on the golf course with Ryan Friedkin, it seems he and Howard have a tight bond.

The former Everton goalkeeper spoke to Kidd about the opportunity of investing in the club where he spent so many years and made 414 appearances as a player.

Howard was wowed after visiting Bramley-Moore Dock not too long ago and that is something which will likely have played a role in his investment.

The Friedkins are looking to take the club forward and, although they may not need Kidd’s money, the American can bring a wealth of winning experience.
