It has been a difficult campaign for the Mali midfielder in Saudi, with injuries hindering his spell with NEOM.
Doucoure’s game time has been limited in the Saudi Pro League, which saw him miss the final five league games of the season.

On Tuesday evening, NEOM confirmed Doucoure will be parting ways following the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
‘Thank you, Abdoulaye Doucoure, for everything you provided with us during the season,’ read NEOM’s brief statement on X.
Frank Lampard and Doucoure infamously fell out at Everton, but the 33-year-old was able to revive his spell on Merseyside following the managerial change.
However, a deal to keep him at Everton for this season was unable to be agreed upon after the conclusion of the 2024/25 term.
It is believed that Doucoure wanted a high salary to remain at Everton, with NEOM offering him a lucrative deal to move to Saudi.
Ultimately, the move to the Middle East has not proven to be a positive one on the pitch, given Doucoure only played 14 times across all competitions.
