David Moyes has been working with Everton’s recruitment team to draw up a shortlist of targets over the last few months.

Alan Myers believes Everton could make three new signings, with an attacker and a full-back certainly on the agenda.

The Toffees are exploring a deal to sign Brooke Norton-Cuffy from Genoa, whilst Juanlu Sanchez is also being considered.

Everton are keen on signing Brooke Norton-Cuffy… are there other positions more important than right-back this transfer window?

On the striking front, Youssef En-Nesyri was heavily linked with a move to Merseyside last week, but those rumours have dampened after it emerged he has reservations about living in England.

Everton are also assessing the market for a winger, and Frank Lampard is actually a huge admirer of one of their rumoured targets.

Frank Lampard loves Everton target Harry Wilson

Everton are working on a deal to sign Harry Wilson as he could be available for a cut-price due to his contract situation at Fulham.

Wilson, who has registered 13 goal involvements this term, is out of contract at the end of the season, so this window might be the final chance for the Cottagers to cash in.

How good of a signing would this be for Everton? 👀

That said, Lampard has already effectively given his seal of approval on the signing, as he waxed lyrical about the Welshman when the pair worked together at Derby County.

“There’s a lot of talk about Harry and early in the season he was hitting spectacular goals,” Lampard explained. “But what he’s done which has really impressed me in the last two months is really up his game generally.

“Everything about his game is positive, he wants the ball, he’s creating, he’s scoring so it’s not just the fantastic goals that Harry Wilson is; he’s a player who is developing fast and I’m loving watching him play at the minute.

“He’s a threat, he works hard, he wants to play every minute of every game. I know Harry is happy here, 12 goals this season and performing as well as he is so I hope it continues. He’s become a hugely important player for us.”

Harry Wilson compared to Jarrod Bowen

According to FBref data, Wilson is actually a very similar profile of a winger to West Ham United talisman Jarrod Bowen.

Indeed, Moyes was able to get the very best out of Bowen when he was Hammers boss, so perhaps the Scotsman would work really well with Wilson, too.

The data suggests the 28-year-old is also similar to Brennan Johnson, who the Toffees actually looked at signing before he went to Crystal Palace.

So, quite clearly Moyes is looking to recruit a specific type of winger, ideally on the right flank, it would seem.
