Everton shelled out £40m on Tyler Dibling’s signature from Southampton last summer.

There was great excitement when Tyler Dibling arrived on Merseyside, with many expecting him to play a key role for Everton last season.

However, David Moyes handed Dibling just four Premier League starts and gave him just one minute of football from January onwards.

How can Tyler Dibling actually turn things around at Everton? 🤷‍♂️

It's going to need some turnaround from the youngster 😫

That’s led many to question whether the 20-year-old could leave the Toffees this summer, and now a recent report has just plunged his future into further doubt.

Why Tyler Dibling’s Everton future now looks even more uncertain

A recent report has claimed that Moyes has looked at converting Dibling into a centre-forward, and the Scotsman has worked on the experiment in training.

However, it’s understood that Dibling much prefers to operate on the right wing, which suggests his future may lie elsewhere.

Quite clearly, Moyes doesn’t think the England under-21 international can operate off the flank in his side, so both parties may look for a season-long loan move this summer.

Which Everton player are you expecting to have the best World Cup? 🏆

It’s completely baffling that Moyes has even come to this decision, as Dibling hasn’t even had a fair chance to show his ability in any position since joining.

Surely the former Southampton star should be given a run of six or seven starts in his most favoured role before even considering a position change.

Everton have been linked to several wingers ahead of the summer transfer window opening tomorrow, so Dibling could become the third or even fourth choice wide player next season.

Perhaps a loan to Coventry City could be beneficial for his development, as Frank Lampard has a great track record of developing young talent.

Otherwise, a move to the top of the Championship makes sense.
