Marco Silva’s departure from Fulham could have helped Everton to land Harry Wilson.

Everton have shown strong interest in Wilson ahead of this summer’s transfer window as the winger becomes a free agent.

A decision is still being made by Wilson after Fulham have offered him a new contract to remain at Craven Cottage.

Would this put you off bringing Harry Wilson to Everton this summer? 😬

Fulham director Tony Kahn has now admitted that Wilson’s future may have been wrapped up by now had Silva decided to stay with the Cottagers.

Harry Wilson keen to learn Fulham’s next manager amid Everton interest

Everton have been backed to sign Wilson this summer, but he has received a lot of interest from elsewhere.

Remaining at Fulham is also still a strong possibility, with Kahn giving journalist Jack Kelly an overview of the Wales international’s situation.

“Regarding Harry: We have had a lot of contact. It’s something we have been talking about for a long time. The club and Harry will continue to have good conversations,” Kahn said.

If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰

“To be honest, I think Harry is very interested to see who the manager will be. If Marco had stayed, maybe Harry would be signed up and here by now, because I certainly think Harry has an interest in staying and we have an interest in Harry staying as well.”

Aston Villa are also keen to sign Wilson this summer, with the lure of Champions League football potentially proving too much to resist.

Despite the interest, it does appear as if the 29-year-old is still giving Fulham an opportunity to impress him with their managerial decision.

Wilson enjoyed a stunning 2025/26 campaign, which returned 10 goals and seven assists in the Premier League for Fulham.

Remaining at Craven Cottage is certainly still an option, but it is apparent that Silva’s departure may have just slightly increased Wilson’s chances of leaving over the coming weeks.
