Gerard Deulofeu sends 12-word message to Everton fans with Goodison Park trip planned

Everton have seen one familiar face return to the club David Moyes this month and another could be set to follow.

Gerard Deulofeu is set to make a visit to Goodison Park over the coming weeks, but not as a new signing.

Moyes is assessing Everton’s transfer targets this week with a matter of days now remaining in the window.

But he is not expected to bring some familiar faces to Goodison back by signing former Everton players like Deulofeu.

The little Spaniard came after Moyes’ time on Merseyside, but he is now set for his own reunion with the Everton fans.

Gerard Deulofeu making his return to Everton

Having signed for Everton a few years after Moyes departed Merseyside, the pair have never worked together.

However, Deulofeu is now set to return to the club as he will be attending the rescheduled Merseyside Derby.

Everton vs Liverpool was postponed due to Storm Darragh last month with a wicked weatherfront battering the north west.

With winds picking up again this weekend, Deulofeu joked on social media about his return next month for the derby.

‘How is [the wind] there lads? Hope to see you on 12th [February] (Merseyside Derby),’ he said.

Deulofeu played 75 times for Everton where he returned eight goals and 16 assists.

And it seems he is wanting to pay one final visit to Goodison Park before the move to the new stadium over the summer.

Whether Brighton vs Everton could be postponed

It is becoming a real occuring theme for Everton over recent weeks with the weather affecting sport across the country.

The Merseyside Derby is set to be played in a few weeks time and Everton will be hoping for no further postponements.

But another storm has hit the country this weekend with Storm Eowyn setting a lot of the country on weather warning.

There has been no word on a potential postponement with fans set to start their journey down to the south coast, but it is certainly something to watch out for.
