David Moyes will have been delighted to see Everton put three points on the board over the weekend.
Everton dismantled Tottenham Hotspur on Merseyside as the Toffees took full advantage of the Londoners current struggles.
A win for Moyes’ side has taken the Blues away from the drop zone and even to within four points of Spurs.
However, there remains a long road ahead for Everton this season if they are to remain in the top flight.
Everton are able to spend around £40m in January with some PSR breathing room after recently seeing their final charges dropped by the Premier League.

David Moyes reviewing Everton transfer shortlist
The Friedkin Group were pushing to sign two players for Everton last week with Ernest Nuamah and Willian on their radar.
There is not a great deal of time remaining for the Blues to get their business done now.
According to iNews, the 60-year-old Everton boss is now looking at the options which have been drawn up by Kevin Thelwell.
It is claimed the Toffees are prepared to dip into the market this month, but their plans were disrupted by Sean Dyche’s departure.
Moyes is keen for any January signings to actually be capable of improving his squad.
Everton remain confident of signing Nuamah from Lyon this month, but it seems their positive talks may have stalled slightly over the weekend.
But the result on the weekend should not cloud over the need of bringing in new signings.
What David Moyes said about Everton’s January transfer business
Sunday marked a really positive step for Everton with the win over Spurs potentially jumpstarting their season back into life.
However, Moyes still wants to see Everton sign some players this month.
Speaking after the game, Moyes continued to put the pressure on The Friedkin Group to back him this month with survival the club’s only real target this season.
“We definitely need to add in the transfer market.”
Everton are expected to sign two players this month, but the clock is not ticking.
