Everton have a big day ahead as a few more additions could be added on deadline day, as one is already in the works.

David Moyes and The Friedkin Group will be working tirelessly behind the scenes to make moves happen.

Alan Myers expects two more deals at Everton, as the Toffees are on the search for a right-back and a central midfielder.

The summer has been a success, but the Toffees boss will just want the final transfers over the line to top off an excellent window.

Now, it looks like the Everton owners are moving quickly for one star, as the focus on deadline day is clear.

Merlin Rohl could be Everton’s central midfielder signing this summer

The priorities have been clear for the past few days since Tyler Dibling’s signing, and Moyes looks eager to make sure he achieves his goal.

Merlin Rohl could be Everton’s central midfielder, as the 23-year-old German is exactly what the Scotsman is looking for in terms of a defensive option in the middle of the park.

Rohl can also play more attacking, and even on the left wing, giving Moyes the versatility he’s been after.

It’s said that Freiburg want £17 million for Rohl, as the Germany under-21 international could join for a bargain fee.

The promising star comes with potential as the Toffees are relying on another young option, but this could mean the future of another youngster is set in stone.

Harrison Armstrong will be loaned out if Merlin Rohl joins Everton

With a central midfielder entering the frame, Moyes will have enough options to let Harrison Armstrong leave on loan.

Even though Armstrong has impressed fans this season, the 18-year-old might need another spell away to help his development.

The Toffees won’t want to rush an exciting talent like the youngster, but Rohl coming in provides a player who can cover a lot of ground, which matches the 18-year-old’s role.

Armstrong is one of the top assisters at Everton, showing how he could still play his part, but it’s hard to see this now with the German’s possible arrival.

After his tenure at Derby County last season, the young midfielder can now look to return to the Championship and continue his glimmering potential.

Armstrong could join Preston on loan, as a big season awaits the youngster.
