Everton’s search for a striker has taken the Toffees into the January transfer window and who better to listen to than Harry Kane?

Having seen Thierno Barry struggle to find consistency in the Premier League, David Moyes will require another addition in the winter market.

Everton News understands that, in January, Everton will make a new striker a priority as they search for more goals.

It is an area of the pitch which simply is not providing Everton with what they need to really push on.

A number of names have already been speculated with the January transfer window now just days away from opening.

But there is one player who has already been given the stamp of approval from England’s record goalscorer Kane.

Harry Kane already approves of Everton striker target

With the search for a new striker ongoing, Everton are believed to be interested in Nicolas Jackson.

The Senegal international is currently out on loan with Bayern Munich away from the Premier League and Chelsea.

Speaking about his Bayern teammate earlier this season, Kane has admitted the Senegalese striker has impressed him a lot.

“Nico was fantastic today: a goal, an assist and almost another goal at the end. I’m very pleased for him,” Kane said back in October.

“We’ll need him all season, hopefully he stays fit and fresh – it was a really good performance from him today.”

Ironically, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is also a huge fan of Jackson having managed him at Stamford Bridge.

This is a striker who has endured some struggles in the Premier League, but Moyes will also have Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye who could offer their own references on the striker.

Nicolas Jackson impresses in AFCON opener for Senegal

On Tuesday, Senegal kicked off their Africa Cup of Nations tournament with a comfortable victory over Botswana.

And it was Jackson who scored the opening two goals before being rested despite being on a hat-trick.

Is there a better option out there for Everton instead of Nicolas Jackson? 🤔

Ndiaye and Gueye impressed for Senegal against Botswana, but it was the Bayern striker who stole the headlines with his goals.

There is no doubt that Jackson could have and probably should have secured his hat-trick.

As Everton currently struggle for goals, Jackson may look even more attractive to those on Merseyside.
