Everton made their claim in the Premier League relegation fight with a fantastic performance against Tottenham on Sunday.
The Toffees found their feet against Tottenham and David Moyes has finally given the Everton fanbase something good to talk about.
The triumph over Spurs could help a potential revival in the Premier League as Moyes made a second transfer plea in the hope of adding to this change in attitude.
Chris Sutton called Everton ‘pathetic’ in his prediction as he and many others have been proven wrong about Moyes’ side.
Now the Toffees will have to kick on against Brighton on Saturday as Gary Lineker believes that Dominic Calvert-Lewin could continue in the same vein after Everton’s win.

Gary Lineker tells Dominic Calvert-Lewin what he needs to do after Everton win
Much has been made of Dominic Calvert-Lewin after a solid performance in Everton’s 3-2 win against Tottenham.
In a performance where he scored his first goal in 16 Premier League games, Everton fans hailed Calvert-Lewin.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast (18:34), former Everton striker, Lineker, said the 27-year-old must use this goal as motivation to find the form he’s been seriously lacking.
“He’s got to carry on from there and he could go on a goal-scoring run.
“The key in a bad run is to keep doing the right things – it comes down to a player’s mentality to perform under pressure, so you’ve got to be able to deal with it.”
Alan Shearer backs up Lineker’s Calvert-Lewin claim
No doubt this goal will do the world for the striker as Moyes ensured he would give Calvert-Lewin confidence.
The Scotsman’s words seem to be working on Calvert-Lewin who has been really struggling in front of goal, and his fortunes could change if Lineker’s claim becomes true.
Alan Shearer also spoke on the podcast (18:58), saying how the striker has responded despite lacking confidence.
Shearer: “He missed a big chance the other evening, I think it was 16 games he hadn’t scored, so it’s virtually impossible to have that confidence.
“Gary’s right, when you get one, another one comes and then another, so hopefully for him and Everton that might be the case.”
Moyes will be the first person to heap praise on the striker, but now it’s about Calvert-Lewin pushing on for more.
After 16 games without a goal, could we finally see the Calvert-Lewin of old return.
