David Moyes’ second spell at Everton is in full swing as his side prepare to face Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.
The Toffees are in desperate need of three points having failed to register a victory since beating Wolves 4-0 at the start of December.
Moyes’ arrival has been met with great optimism around Merseyside, but he is under no illusion of how difficult the job is.
Premier League safety is the only goal this season and as it stands, Everton are beating the drop by one point.
Moyes wants to spend a bit of money this window and it’s understood the club are working on a couple of deals.
Everton are in talks to sign Lyon’s Ernest Nuamah whilst former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian has been linked to Merseyside.
Whilst that process unfolds, Moyes has been hard at work on the training pitch trying to maximise the talent available to him.
That said, one thing about Finch Farm has shocked him since returning.

David Moyes shocked by number of staff at Finch Farm
Since returning to Finch Farm, Moyes has been shocked by the number of staff patrolling the training ground, according to the Daily Mail.
When he left for Manchester United in 2013, the club’s base was a ‘tight-run operation’ but it’s far from that now.
In fact, it’s thought there’s so many staff that the country lane adjacent to the training ground acts as an overspill car park.
There are now hundreds of employees and that’s something Moyes will have to adjust to and work with.

Moyes focusing on improving the culture and atmosphere
One of Moyes’ aims is to improve the culture around the football club and that will of course be a lot more challenging now given the number of staff he has to manage.
But, he’s already making an impression across all corners of Finch Farm, having held conversations with the security team and groundskeepers.
The Scotsman’s man management is clearly one of his biggest strengths and it already seems like there’s a renewed sense of community in the blue half of Merseyside.
Moyes will be hoping that translates into positive results and quickly.
