Jarrad Branthwaite won’t be impressed after hearing who Everton are looking to sign this summer

Everton are looking to improve across the entirety of their squad over the summer transfer window.

David Moyes has worked his magic with a squad which Sean Dyche was unable to get a tune out of this season.

With seven games remaining in their season, Everton are now all but confirmed as safe from Premier League relegation.

It really has been some turnaround on Merseyside, but the hard work will not stop when the season ends next month.

The Friedkins are providing Everton a significant transfer budget in what will be their first proper transfer window at the club.

But one of their reported targets may not go down well with some of the current players at Finch Farm.

Everton showing an interest in Liverpool’s Jarell Quansah

January saw the Toffees hamstrung by PSR, which meant they were only able to bring in Carlos Alcaraz on a short-term loan deal.

But Everton are looking to add to their defence this summer, with players like Michael Keane set to leave at the end of his deal.

According to Caught Offside, Everton are one of the clubs who are showing an interest in Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah.

The centre-back is receiving a lot of interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including:

It has been suggested the Reds would be looking for an offer in the region of £30m for them to offload Quansah this summer.

This speculation comes amid questions over Jarrad Branthwaite’s future at Everton.

Branthwaite is receiving interest from Manchester United, among other Premier League clubs this summer.

Jarrad Branthwaite may be shocked by Everton’s Quansah interest

Last month, Branthwaite was snubbed from Thomas Tuchel’s England squad despite enjoying an impressive campaign with Everton.

Instead of selecting the Everton defender, Tuchel sided with Quansah, who hasn’t actually played that much football this season, in comparison.

The FA responded to Branthwaite’s England snub claiming he does not have to leave Everton this summer to catch Tuchel’s eye.

However, there will have been a clear frustration from Branthwaite after seeing Quansah given the nod instead of him by Tuchel.

And seeing Quansah potentially make the move to the blue half of Merseyside may not go down too well after the England development last month.
