Everton are set to profit from Anthony Gordon’s potential departure from Newcastle United.
Just three years on from Gordon’s exit on Merseyside and the 25-year-old is already trying to leave Tyneside.
Bayern Munich are showing a keen interest in Gordon, but there remains some distance when it comes to the valuation on the former Everton winger.
How has Thomas Tuchel taken Jordan Henderson over James Garner? 😡
Thomas Tuchel named Gordon in his England World Cup squad on Friday, with the German manager potentially able to help the Toffees profit from a possible summer sale.

Thomas Tuchel could help Everton profit from Anthony Gordon sale
Everton hold a 15 per cent sell-on clause in Gordon’s contract; this entitles the Blues to 15 per cent of the profit Newcastle make if they sell the winger.
Clubs are lining up to sign him this summer, but Tuchel’s recommendation is helping to fuel Bayern’s charge.
A report from Team Talk has suggested Tuchel has now spoken directly with Bayern director Max Eberl to provide his approval of the forward.
With Bayern already keen to sign Gordon, Tuchel’s ‘glowing reference’ has only spiked their interest ahead of the market opening.
Does Kevin Thelwell deserve more credit for this? 👏
We tried to tell them… 🤷♂️
Gordon’s agent has already spoken to Barcelona, with a number of other European powerhouses throwing their hat into the ring.
Clearly, Gordon’s reputation on Merseyside took a significant hit through the way he manufactured his exit from Everton.
However, this news comes as a real positive given Everton are set to profit from his potential sale.
Even though the 25-year-old has only returned Newcastle six goals in the Premier League, the interest remains high ahead of the summer.
Everton will be hoping to make in the region of £5m from any sale of Gordon.
