Everton were rocked earlier in the week over news of a potential injury to star man Iliman Ndiaye.
The Everton winger is currently away representing Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he was withdrawn in their latest outing.
Ndiaye’s importance to Everton does not need explaining and any further injuries on Merseyside is the absolute last thing that David Moyes needs.
The January transfer window is going to be huge for the Toffees, with both quality and squad depth needing to be added.
Ndiaye has even impressed rival fans this season, which highlights how important he has become to Moyes’ starting XI.
However, the injury report has now returned from the tournament being held in Morocco as Everton fans wait nervously.

Everton receive Iliman Ndiaye injury update
On Tuesday evening, it was claimed Ndiaye was set for tests after suffering an injury which forced him off at half-time.
Senegal have already played three games at AFCON having qualified from their group.
On Friday morning, journalist Lee-Roy Kabeya has shared an update on the 24-year-old following those tests.
What concerns do you have about Iliman Ndiaye leaving Everton in the summer?😫
Surely Everton must hand him a new contract!
‘Iliman Ndiaye did not train yesterday; he stayed at the hotel. He is expected to resume training today,’ he said.
Ndiaye has continued to impress at AFCON as he has done all season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the Blues.
Injuries have depleted Moyes’ side over recent weeks and losing a player of Ndiaye’s quality whilst away on international duty would have been a real sucker punch.
Thankfully, the worst possible news has been avoided.
Everton narrowly escape injury catastrophe
Although losing Ndiaye would have been catastrophic, his absence at AFCON has opened up the door for Tyler Dibling.
Following his recent showings for Everton, Moyes has been quietly impressed by Dibling, but he is still looking for improvements.
Is there even any competition between Dwight McNeil and Tyler Dibling? 🙄
Dibling simply has to start against Forest!
The 19-year-old has barely played any football this season despite making a big-money move to Merseyside from Southampton.
Earlier in the season, Moyes admitted Dibling wasn’t starting because of Ndiaye and Jack Grealish, who have impressed all season.
But this run in the side will be doing Dibling’s chances no harm as he looks to capitalise on the Senegal international’s absence.
