Everton’s finances have been transformed over the opening 12 months of the Friedkins’ stint on Merseyside.
It is hard to believe that Everton are already into the second year of The Friedkin Group’s ownership after marking the first anniversary last month.
Change can be seen in almost every aspect of the club as David Moyes looks to push the club back into Europe after years of relegation fears.
Perhaps the biggest change has come away from the pitch as The Friedkin Group have solved Everton’s financial woes.
No longer do the Blues have to worry about selling their top players to balance the books against the FFP regulations of the Premier League.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium has played a big role in boosting Everton’s cash flow by opening new doors for the club to explore.

Everton expecting £10m financial boost for city of Liverpool
The Friedkins have backed Everton financially in the opening year on Merseyside, through much more than just bank rolling transfers.
However, securing huge events to be hosted at the club’s new stadium has been perhaps the most impressive revenue generator for Everton in recent months.
Everton have secured the Magic Weekend for 2026 and the Liverpool Echo believe the event could generate in the region of £10m for the city of Liverpool.
What event would you like to see held at the Hill Dickinson Stadium next? 🎸
Can you imagine how good a concert would be there!
The event is still months away, but the early signs have been incredibly encouraging from a financial perspective.
Magic Weekend ticket sales have hit record figures having only been on sale for a matter of weeks now.
Everton’s stadium impressed during the Ashes Series back in October where England hosted Australia for the first rugby event at the Hill Dickinson.
As a result, Everton were able to beat Newcastle United to their almost-annual hosting of the Magic Weekend event.
Rugby officials backing Newcastle snub for Everton stadium
Everton are quickly establishing themselves as one of the top venues to host major sporting events in England.
The Blues have prised the event away from the north east, where it has been held for many years.
This just goes to show how special the new stadium that Everton have built is proving for the organisations looking to host their major events in the north.
What do you miss most about Goodison Park after months in the Hill Dickinson Stadium? 🥺
The new stadium has surpassed all expectations so far 🔥
“It is really exciting; first and foremost, we were in a position where we had two options: we could stay at Newcastle, or we were able to discuss with Everton the opportunity to bring rugby league back into the city and back to the stadium,” said Rhodri Jones, managing director of Rugby League Commercial.
“I wouldn’t say it was a gamble. The equity that we have built in the event in Newcastle has been longstanding, but again I think about the ability to come back to Everton so soon after that Ashes Test match.”
Everton are now plotting to host a Scotland friendly against Japan in March, which also has Newcastle United battling to host the fixture.
