Isaac Heath won Everton’s under-21 Player of the Season award in 2024/25.
Heath was rewarded with first-team opportunities in pre-season last summer, however, after having a close look, David Moyes decided to send him on loan for the year.
The Toffees winger joined League Two outfit Accrington Stanley and really impressed, but clearly not enough to remain at Finch Farm.
Which Everton player are you expecting to have the best World Cup? 🏆
It has just been announced on Everton’s academy X account that Heath has departed on a permanent deal to League One side Cambridge United.
“Isaac Heath has completed a permanent move to League One side Cambridge United for an undisclosed fee. Everyone at Everton thanks Isaac for his commitment and wishes him the very best for the future.”
Now, Heath has broken his silence after completing the transfer down south.

Isaac Heath ‘delighted’ to join Cambridge United
Quite clearly, Heath and his representatives recognised that they weren’t going to get game time at senior level with Everton.
So, they’ve opted to leave on a permanent transfer, and the 21-year-old admitted he’s ‘delighted’ to join Cambridge after talks with manager Neil Harris.
“I’m delighted to get the move over the line,” Heath told Cambridge’s website.
“This feels like the right club for me at this stage of my career, and my conversations with the manager played a big part in my decision to come here.”
How would you feel about Hayden Hackney becoming Everton’s first signing? 🤩
Harris said: “I am delighted to welcome Isaac to the football club. We had to fend off strong competition for his signature, and we’re really pleased he’s chosen to join us.
“He’s a young player with a huge amount of development ahead of him, and I look forward to helping him on his footballing journey.
“Isaac gives us versatility across the front line and will add a real attacking threat to the squad.”
Heath did have interest from Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley, so Cambridge must have put forward a good offer to both Everton and the player.
