Everton have now seen an appeal to overturn Michael Keane’s red card rejected by the Football Association.

David Moyes has been left furious after a panel opted to uphold a three-match ban for the England international, who received a straight red card from Tom Kirk for tugging on the hair of Tolu Arokodare during the 1-1 draw against Wolves.

The Toffees said they are “surprised and disappointed” at the verdict in an official statement, and Jack Grealish has now shared his own views on the matter on Instagram.

Jack Grealish calls the FA “embarrassing” after Everton see Michael Keane appeal rejected

After the Toffees posted about the FA’s decision on Instagram, the Everton No.18 didn’t hesitate to show his frustration.

Why always Everton? 😡

It's almost unbelievable at this point!

Grealish simply posted the word “embarrassing” in response to the news – siding with Moyes, who called the decision a “quite extraordinary” one.

The Manchester City loanee also added two emojis to his comment, posting a shocked face with eyes wide open – along with another showing someone with their head in their hands in disbelief.

Keane will now miss the FA Cup clash against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, as well as Premier League encounters against Aston Villa and Leeds.

Grealish – who was also dismissed against Wolves – will only miss the game against Sunderland, as his red card came due to accumulating two yellow cards rather than a straight red.

Why Marc Cucurella has escaped with just a one-match ban despite receiving a straight red card in Fulham 2-1 Chelsea

Some Everton fans might have noticed that Marc Cucurella has only been given a one-game ban, despite also receiving a straight red card on Wednesday night as Chelsea lost to Fulham.

That is because the Spain international was dismissed for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity when dragging Harry Wilson down as the last man, which is just a one-match suspension, as opposed to a display of violent conduct which results in a three-game ban.

Can you name the other three? 🤔

Still cannot believe Keane was sent of for this!

How the FA can argue what Keane did was a deliberate show of violence is beyond us, and just goes to show that even in 2026, there are clear problems with the rulebook.
