Jordan Pickford impressed on international duty with England and now heads back to Everton, where he’ll link up with one of his teammates, whom he’s labelled a ‘beast’.

Everton return to action against action on Saturday lunchtime against Brentford at Goodison Park, with Sean Dyche still very much under pressure.

It’s not about to get any easier after facing the Bees, as Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all coming in the next six games.

The Friedkin Group are already looking to make changes higher up, and changes on the field will no doubt follow if results continue to go downhill, especially having seen the way they act at Roma.

Alex Crook thinks Dyche already knows he’ll be sacked, as he claimed that the body language of the Everton boss just isn’t right after interviewing him.

However, the Everton players are very much staying away from any managerial talk, as Jordan Pickford has been speaking about one of his teammates recently instead.

Jordan Pickford says Jake O’Brien is a ‘beast’ despite him not playing much this season

Jake O’Brien is a name that brings great frustration for Everton fans, as so many have been calling for him to receive more minutes, yet Dyche continues to turn a blind eye.

The Republic of Ireland international joined Everton for £12 million in the summer, not the £17 million that was reported as a recent Lyon document revealed the true price.

Dyche has played O’Brien for just 26 minutes so far this season.

Despite this, Pickford was taken back by the pure size of O’Brien when talking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel in 100 fans v Jordan Pickford video.

Pickford was asked which three Everton teammates would win a Royal Rumble, and he said this.

“I don’t know if people know about him, but Jake O’Brien, he can box as well.”

He later mentioned this.

“I’d have Jake right at the top. He was a boxer when he was a kid and won national titles in Ireland. Like, he’s a beast.”

Jake O’Brien is seriously being misused at Everton

Everton plans on keeping Jake O’Brien in January, despite there being links to France.

Dyche has said that it will all work itself out with the centre-backs, but it’s all good saying something but he’s the one at the end of the day who picks the side.

Michael Keane was kept in the starting role despite going through a rough patch at the start of the season, and James Tarkowski, Keane and Jarrad Branthwaite have been preferred of late.

O’Brien must be a terrible trainer to be out of the side for this long, especially as he’s still being picked for the Republic of Ireland, despite barely playing.

The fact that Pickford even stated that people may not know about O’Brien says it all.
