Everton are in desperate need of attacking reinforcement this month.
Sean Dyche was ultimately sacked due to the goalscoring woes this term, with just Southampton netting fewer.
Everton have blanked in 11 games as a result and reside dangerously close to the relegation zone, just a point above 18th-placed Ipswich Town.
So the Friedkin’s took the tough decision to sack Dyche, ending his near two-year stay on Merseyside.
David Moyes has been appointed as his replacement on a two-and-a-half-year deal and he’s expected to be backed with new signings.
The Friedkin’s could make up to three signings this month, though, that will largely depend on the number of outgoings.
That said, it’s understood sporting director Kevin Thelwell is locked in talks to sign an exciting winger on the continent.

Kevin Thelwell personally leading pursuit of Ernest Nuamah
According to TEAMtalk journalist Harry Watkinson, Everton remain in talks to sign Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah, though, a bid is yet to be submitted.
Watkins also made it clear that it’d ‘very much’ be a Thelwell signing if they do manage to get the deal over the line.
Everton almost signed Nuamah in the summer and quite clearly, Thelwell has been keeping tabs on him ever since.
The 21-year-old was also on the verge of joining Fulham, but that deal fell through on deadline day as he reportedly left the medical and returned to France.
Nuamah stats vs Dwight McNeil
If Everton were to sign Nuamah, he’d likely be fighting with Dwight McNeil for a spot in Moyes’ starting line-up.
So, let’s see how their statistics compare.
| Stats per 90 | Ernest Nuamah | Dwight McNeil |
| Progressive carries | 5.21 | 2.36 |
| Pass completion (%) | 79 | 72.9 |
| Touches | 5.98 | 1.76 |
| Successful take-ons | 2.20 | 1.18 |
Evidently, Nuamah is a much more progressive wide player than McNeil and actually trumps him in pretty much every attacking metric.
So if Everton did land his signature, statistically he would be an upgrade on Everotn’s current options on the flanks.
