David Moyes is set to become Sean Dyche’s replacement at Everton with the new owners securing themselves a quick appointment.
The decision to sack Dyche may not have come as a major surprise but the timing of the sacking certainly shocked a few.
However, Everton have offered Moyes a two-year deal to make a sensation return to Goodison Park.
The Friedkin Group are not looking to waste any time following their takeover last month with considerable change being put in place.
Everton are also set to sack Kevin Thelwell as the director of football and potentially replace him with David Weir.
With the 60-year-old looking ready to be named as the next manager on Merseyside, the Scotsman has already made one decision behind the scenes.

David Moyes to appoint Billy McKinley as Everton assistant
As Moyes nears his return, the Friedkins can focus on January transfers with a sensational move eyed as Everton make contact over Randal Kolo Muani.
According to the Daily Mail, Moyes will be bringing a familiar face with him in Billy McKinlay as his assistant manager.
It is believed the 60-year-old has spent the last couple of days attempting to put together his backroom staff.
And he is making a reunion with the 55-year-old who he has already spent time at West Ham United with.
Moyes is expected to demand January transfers at Everton following his talks with the Friedkins earlier this week.
Signings Everton may well require with their start to the season set to see Moyes pick up the relegation battle which Dyche failed to avoid up to now.

Billy McKinlay has really impressed David Moyes
The pair now have plenty of years together on the sidelines under their belts from their time at West Ham.
And McKinlay is someone who has particularly impressed Moyes through his ability to spot a talent.
“Billy McKinlay is a bit more light-hearted, but he was a very good midfield player and he has a really good eye for a player as well,” Moyes told the West Ham website back in 2018.
“He’s good at looking at players and spotting things. He is somebody who worked with me just recently and I think he has got better and he is improving all the time.”
There will be a number of players looking to impress their new manager with Jake O’Brien relishing the opportunity after Dyche’s sacking.
