Everton are fighting for their Premier League survival this season and the need for January reinforcements is apparent.

David Moyes has taken over from Sean Dyche and has been awarded a two-and-a-half-year deal by the Friedkin Group.

That amplifies the trust the new owners have in Moyes to lead the club forward and into the new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton currently reside just one point above the relegation zone ahead of their Goodison Park clash against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

Attacking additions are certainly needed as The Toffees are the second-lowest scorers in the top flight, only behind rock-bottom Southampton.

With that said, it’s just come to light how many signings the Friedkin’s are willing to make this winter.

Everton could back David Moyes with 3 signings

According to i News, The Friedkin Group are keen to back Moyes with new signings this month, though, there will be some restrictions due to PSR.

It’s understood Everton could make up to three new additions to the squad, which would be a massive boost to the newly appointed boss.

That does of course depend on outgoings, too, so there’s still a need for money to be brought into the club in order to balance the books.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is being heavily linked with Atalanta, as he enters the last six months of his contract at Goodison.

Beto is also being linked away whilst Jake O’Brien continues to attract interest from Ligue 1 – where he flourished last term.

The three positions Everton could strengthen in

It emerged on Sunday evening that Everton could now look to sign a new left-back, providing Vitaliy Mykolenko with competition.

A dynamic and fast wide player is already on the agenda and it’s believed Ernest Nuamah is one step away from joining Everton.

A right-back could also be targetted with Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters a possible signing for Moyes.

Surely a striker will be on the shortlist as a priority, as Armando Broja appears to be out of action for the foreseeable future after picking up an injury against Peterborough United in the FA Cup.
