Everton fell short in the Merseyside derby as Liverpool got the bragging rights with a 2-1 win at Anfield.
David Moyes and Jack Grealish criticised the officiating, who made a couple of very strange decisions, like adding on just three minutes of stoppage time.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was also given a bizarre yellow card for taking a quick free-kick and now he is at risk of being suspended.
Dewsbury-Hall reacted to the yellow card decision on social media, and he also spoke about what Everton could’ve done better on the day to come away with a result.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on what Everton must improve
Speaking post-match, Dewsbury-Hall explained that Everton showed Liverpool far too much respect and they will work on being more aggressive against the top sides in future.
“In the second half we went at them,” the Toffees midfielder said.
“People will say that’s a risk, but we wanted to be aggressive and on the front foot. It’s something we will have to look back on. Why it took until half time for us to be like that.
“We understand that they’re the champions and a special team, but if you give them too respect it’s going to be a long day.
“I felt like we did that in the first half. It’s like, ‘look, we’re all Premier League players, we can cause them problems’.
“We aren’t going to let that happen again – to any team. We need to start strong, and finish strong.”
Everton showed their level in the second half
Everton actually won the second half of the Merseyside derby 1-0, so clearly they had the ability to get a result at Anfield.
They looked a much better side with Thierno Barry leading the line, as his link-up play was a lot cleaner than Beto’s.
That’s perhaps the main tweak Moyes will make in these big games going forward, as it’s evident Beto just hasn’t quite got that ability to drop in and maintain possession.
Grealish was absolutely outstanding yet again, as was Idrissa Gana Gueye, so there are plenty of positives to take.
