A disappointing defeat on Sunday against Nottingham Forest has only raised further questions over Sean Dyche’s tenure at Everton.
Having put together a run of solid form, Everton were unable to see out the year with three points as they suffered an underwhelming 2-0 loss.
The Friedkin Group had given Dyche their support following a meeting between the two parties after the takeover was completed.
However, the loss on the weekend has only dragged the Toffees closer to the relegation zone, with Ipswich Town picking up three points.
But it seems as if one of the managers The Friedkin Group may be eyeing as a potential replacement for Dyche may have told them they’ll need to wait.

Max Allegri tells Everton to wait if they want to hire him
The Friedkins have already backed Kevin Thelwell ahead of the January transfer market as their man going forward.
But the questions remain around Dyche with the Toffees failing to really pull away from the relegation zone.
According to TeamTalk, the 53-year-old is viewed as competent, but the new owners are going to take their time in making a decision.
Sensationally, former Juventus manager Max Allegri is on the Friedkins’ radar to potentially replace Dyche.
However, Allegri has told all interested parties – including West Ham – that he will not be taking on any roles until the summer.
There are now concerns that Dyche may have lost the Everton dressing room following their result on the weekend.
The 53-year-old’s comments after the game made it clear he felt the blame rested solely on his players.
Allegri hailed as one of the best managers
In potentially hiring Allegri, Everton could land themselves a six-time Serie A champion following his time with Juventus.
Although he may not have the European accolades to go with the domestic trophies, it would be an appointment which would be likened to Carlo Ancelotti’s.
Former Juventus player Oscar Damiani previously hailed Allegri as one of the best managers about.
“Allegri? He has personality and manages to handle situations calmly. The problems that have happened do not depend on him. As a coach he is among the best,” he told Calciomercato.
Ancelotti is well respected by Everton fans despite leaving so soon, and appointing a manager of Allegri’s calibre could certainly provide a lot of optimism on Merseyside.
