Everton put another point on the board with their draw against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
It was not the three points which Everton fans were hoping for at half time considering they were two goals to the good, though.
David Moyes’ fine run of form as the Everton manager has continued, but there will be some frustration after such a bright start.
Mike Dean questioned VAR for overturning a late Everton penalty which would have given the Blues a shot at another late win.
After such a dominant first half, the collapse in the second 45 minutes will leave some questions to be answered in the coming days.
However, there was one Everton player who really impressed his manager and has done since his return to Merseyside last month.

David Moyes wowed by Idrissa Gana Gueye in Everton vs Man United
Moyes admitted Jesper Lindstrom was withdrawn through illness in the second half at Goodison Park on Saturday.
There was one player who was never going to come off after another strong display, though.
Speaking to the media after the game, Moyes admitted he had been left really impressed by the performance of midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye.
“He’s been doing great, he’s played really, really well and he is keeping it going,” said Moyes.
“He does a great job for the team.”
Earlier in the week, Gueye said he wants to play European football with Everton in the future.
A spot in Europe is not going to happen this season despite the improved form, but the Senegal international has certainly played his role in Everton’s success of late.

The Friedkins need to hand Idrissa Gueye a new Everton contract
Moyes is keen for Gueye to be handed a new Everton contract with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
Gueye did pick up a booking during the game, but it was one fine showing from the Senegal international who has become a mainstay in the starting XI.
- 90 minutes played
- 54 touches
- 88% pass accuracy
- 11/15 ground duels won
- 2 interceptions
- 11 tackles
- 3 clearances
After the game against Brighton recently, Iliman Ndiaye singled Gueye out for praise with the midfielder really asserting his influence on the side.
A lot is going right at Everton currently and at the heart of the side is the 32-year-old midfielder.
