Everton have a number of players who are set to see their contracts run out at the end of the season.
David Moyes will be assessing which individuals he may potentially be keen to keep around ahead of next season.
Since the Scotsman arrived back on Merseyside, it has been a story of big improvement for Everton who have been able to leapfrog Manchester United in the table.
The Friedkins wanted two January signings, but they were forced to settle for just one in Carlos Alcaraz.
Along with potential new signings, Everton will be looking to possibly retain some of their current squad members on new contracts.
One of those players is midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye who is set to see his contract at Goodison Park expire at the end of the season.
And he may have just provided a hint on where his future may lie.

Idrissa Gana Gueye wants to remain at Everton
It has already been suggested that Everton have opened contract talks with Idrissa Gueye ahead of the summer.
The 32-year-old has been a regular feature in the starting XI this season with 27 appearances to his name across all competitions.
Speaking to the Everton website, Gueye may have just dropped the biggest hint yet on where his future may lie.
“We keep giving our best. We are enjoying the work and hopefully this manager will help us in the future to get in the top level, like fighting for Europe, once again, rather than battling away from relegation,” he said.
“But, at this moment, this is our situation. We have to accept it, but we have to work hard to get out of this situation.”
Everton fans want to see Gueye handed a new contract and this may well suggest he would be keen to stay around.
Discussing the club’s future ambitions would only seem relevant to the midfielder if he was planning on remaining on Merseyside beyond this summer.

Gueye is loving Everton life under David Moyes
Since the change of manager, Gueye has remained one of the focal points in the starting XI at Goodison Park.
Gueye has said he’s noticed differences between Moyes and Sean Dyche and in the interview with the club, he’s reaffirmed his joy under the 61-year-old.
“We’re training really good and the manager has changed some things,” said Gueye.
“We are watching more individual videos, and we are doing more tactical [work] to play shorter passes.
Iliman Ndiaye hailed Gueye after the Brighton victory with the midfielder putting in another dominant display.
Despite having just a few months remaining on his deal, Gueye is showing no signs of slowing down.
