Thierno Barry was on the scoresheet once again last night as Everton drew 1-1 with Leeds United.
Everton should’ve beaten Leeds as they had Daniel Farke’s side pinned back for pretty much the whole second half.
After Thierno Barry’s equaliser, Idrissa Gana Gueye hit the crossbar, and it looked as though a second goal was imminent.

But, it wasn’t to be, and there was a sense of disappointment around the Hill Dickinson Stadium at full-time.
The main positive of late is without a doubt the form of Barry, and Michael Owen has now pinpointed why he’s been able to improve so drastically.

Speaking on Premier League Productions last night, Owen explained that Moyes’ decision to make Barry his first-choice striker, no matter whether he scores or not, has really helped him to grow in belief.
“I think David Moyes a while ago thought ‘you know what I’m going to stick with one player here’ and he went with Barry and he thought I’m going to give him a bit of confidence,” the former striker said.
“I’m going to regardless of whether he scores or not, I’m going to go and play him for a few games, and I think that’s really helped him.”

Barry has started 13 of the last 14 Premier League games since the 1-1 draw away to Sunderland back in November.

Many Toffees fans have stuck by Barry and continued to support him through the tough moments when he was out of form.
That said, Barry had a message for the fans after the Leeds game: “Hi Everton fans, it’s Barry. I’m very happy to score again today.
“We don’t have the victory today so I hope next week we can win again, but thank you for the support and we continue to push.”
