Everton are still in the market for a new striker signing before the transfer deadline, with Jhon Duran emerging as a target.
The Toffees have had a quiet window so far, which has left some supporters frustrated.
With Everton sat in 10th place in the Premier League, many feel now is the time to be productive and for The Friedkin Group to set David Moyes up to attack the second half of the campaign.
What should be Everton’s top priority before the deadline on Monday? 😬
The clock is ticking… ⏰
But Everton are operating cautiously, so it remains to be seen if a new striker will be signed.
In the last 24 hours, Everton have been linked with a move for Jhon Duran, which has excited fans.
However, there has now been a development that those fans are unlikely to welcome.
Juventus make play for Everton target Jhon Duran
According to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Juventus have now made an offer to sign Duran, who has reportedly been left out of Fenerbahce’s Europa League squad tonight to face.
It is a case of deja vu for Everton, with Juve having previously gone after Youssef En-Nesyri, who was another player the Toffees have been looking at.

Furthermore, Juventus also reportedly made an offer for Brooke Norton-Cuffy, who is on Everton’s radar.
For some reason, Juve are seemingly in for the same players as Everton at the moment.
It remains to be seen if Juve will succeed with Duran where they failed with En-Nesyri.
Everton must elbow Juventus aside for Duran
Everton fans are likely getting tired of reading Juventus’ name at this point.
But they were not actually able to land En-Nesyri, and hopefully they will have the same outcome with Duran.
Ideally, Everton will beat Juventus to the Colombia international who is still a player with serious promise despite making that big-money move to Saudi Arabia.
Everton want Jhon Duran… would he be an upgrade on Thierno Barry? 👀
We’ve seen him shine in the Premier League before with Aston Villa, and Everton would add some real firepower if they managed to get him in.
Thierno Barry is doing well right now. But he’s a player who is still finding his feet in England and there is a lot for him to work on.
Moyes should be looking to get Duran in and handing the Frenchman some real competition
